News : Inmate Dies At Cameron Facility

A prisoner confined in the state’s maximum security prison at Cameron died Tuesday.

Daren Walker, 46, was pronounced dead at the Crossroads Correctional Center. He was serving a 13-year sentence for first-degree statutory rape from Jackson County.

Mr. Walker died of apparent natural causes. He was received into the Missouri Department of Corrections in July 2010.

No other details were available.
