Sports : TMS Volleyball Splits With Cameron

The Trenton Middle School volleyball teams split matches with the Cameron Dragons, with action played at Cameron Middle School on Monday night.

The TMS "B" Team won 25-14, 25-23. Vanessa Olivo had a superb serving night, ringing up eight aces. Madison Untiedt had five aces with Melea Farmer adding three. Coach Amanda Pickett said she "saw a lot of improvement from the girls, and the match was a fun one to watch".

The A team lost in three sets to Cameron, 21-25, 26-24, 20-25. Trenton was able to avoid the Cameron sweep in the second set, rallying from 9-19 down to get the 26-24 win. Carly Taul was in the middle of the second set rally for Trenton. In referring to the A Team, Coach Pickett said, "I could tell these girls wanted to play tonight. I challenged them to show me they wanted to win and despite not ending with a victory they played a great game".
