News : Two Sentenced In Grundy County Circuit Court

Two cases that originated in Harrison County were heard in Division One of Grundy county circuit Court at Trenton.

An Eagleville resident, 24 year old Nicole Lister, pleaded guilty to an amended charge of first degree involuntary manslaughter. She was sentenced to serve seven years in the Department of Corrections. A charge of abuse of a child was dismissed. The case, which involved the September 2012 death of an eight-month-old child, was moved to Grundy County on a change of venue from Harrison County.

35 year old Amanda Leevon Summa of New Hampton, pleaded guilty to two counts of second degree assault with a dangerous weapon on a law enforcement officer. She was sentenced to serve five years in the Department of Corrections on each count. Execution of the sentence was suspended and Ms. Summa was placed on probation for five years. Three additional charges of third degree assault of a law enforcement officer were dismissed, as were charges of resisting arrest and peace disturbance.

The case was moved to Grundy County on a change of venue from Harrison County.
