48-year old Robert Dorrell of Marcelline was taken to Hannibal Regional Hospital with what the patrol called moderate injuries.

The accident occurred late Tuesday morning on highway 36 near the northeast Missouri community of Honeywell. Both trucks were westbound. The patrol report indicated the truck driven by Dorrell hit the other tractor trailer unit in the rear. The truck driven by Dorrell then caught fire traveling into the median. The vehicle was demolished.

Damage to the other truck was listed as moderate.

The driver of that second truck, 46-year old Jerrod Porter of Hunnewell was not reported hurt. It was unknown whether the two drivers were wearing seat belts.
