The game was called after four innings, with stormy weather moving in quickly from the west. Trenton took the lead in the bottom of the first inning, with Madi Trump hitting a single and moving to third by Milan error. A wild pitch scored Trump, followed by three straight walks to load the bases. Megan Lynch made it 2-0 with an RBI single to left field.

In the second inning, McKinley Hurley charged up the Lady Bulldogs after taking a hit by pitch, stealing second, and scoring on a single by Makaila Capeder. A triple by Ally Ockenfels scored Capeder to make it 4-0. In the third inning, Trenton's offensive roll continued, with THS loading the bases courtesy of a single, a Milan error, and a hit by pitch. A bunt single by Hurley scored Whitley Richman. The dam burst with the following hitter, as Capeder cleared the bases with a double, making it 8-0.

Trenton added two more runs in the bottom of the fourth inning, just ahead of the end of the game, as a Daryian Otto single scored Cassidy Cotton and Whitley Richman. Mallory Hooyman was strong from the pitching slab for Trenton, improving her record to 6-1 with a one-hit, one-walk effort. The win improves Trenton to 7-1 on the season.

The Lady Bulldogs will open play against Polo in the Nan Carter Classic at 9 o'clock on Saturday morning. Milan will host the Novinger Lady Wildcats in a rare Friday night game, at 5 o'clock this (Friday) evening at Legion Field in Milan.
