Sports : NCMC Nan Carter Tournament Moves to Cameron For 2013

Due to ongoing construction at Mark Griffin Memorial Field in Trenton, the softball tournament run by North Central Missouri College's Lady Pirates will move to Cameron this Saturday.

Eight teams will make up the Nan Carter Classic, with the defending champion Trenton Lady Bulldogs owning the #1 seed, fresh off a tournament win at Lexington last Saturday. Trenton will open play this Saturday morning at 9 o'clock against #8 seed Polo. This game will be at "Field #1". At "Field #2", at 9 o'clock, #4 seed Lawson will go against #5 seed Marceline.

The bottom half of the bracket features 11 o'clock games, with the #2 seeded Odessa Lady Bulldogs battling Jefferson on Field 1, with the #3 seed Brookfield Lady 'Dogs against South Harrison on Field 2.

Trenton will host Milan on Thursday night at 5 o'clock. Games for the Lady Bulldogs at Plattsburg (Monday) and Lathrop (Tuesday) have been rained out, and it is unsure whether the games will be rescheduled.
