Sports : Maysville Sweeps Honors At Gallatin Golf Tournament

The Maysville Lady Wolverines boast both the team championship and individual medalist from Tuesday's rain-shortened Gallatin High School Golf Tournament.

The tournament was shortened to nine holes instead of the usual 18 due to the persisent rainfall on the course from Tuesday morning. Maysville won the ten-team event with a team score of 220, 14 strokes better than the 234 from runner-up Gallatin. South Harrison was third at 242, followed by Stanberry's 247 and fifth-place Trenton at 263.

Spots six through ten were grabbed, in order, by Worth County, Albany, King City, Braymer, and Tina-Avalon.

The individual medalist, with a score of 48, was Maysville's Stephanie Eggleston, followed in second by 52 from South Harrison's Allison Mulnix, and in third place, Stanberry's Katrina Osborn at 53. There was a tie for fourth place between Gallatin's Bailey Morris and Maysville's Hannah Huffaker, both at 54, while Trenton's Caitlin McNabb was SIXTH, with a nine-hole score of 55.
