The North Central Missouri College men received a blazing hot shooting performance from freshman standout JaWan Davis, and key contributions from numerous players, in gaining a measure of revenge against Florissant Valley Community College on Saturday with a 75-58 road victory. The win for NCMC came two weeks to the day after losing to the same Norseman squad at the Ketcham Community Center in Trenton.

A father and daughter from Bethany were injured in a one-vehicle accident on a snow-covered Highway 13 just north of Coffey on Sunday evening. Injuries to 44-year old Kevin Laytham were described as MODERATE while injuries to 18-year old Katherine Laytham were minor. Both were taken by ambulance to Harrison County Community Hospital in Bethany.

A young man from Kahoka, Missouri was injured on Sunday evening in a one-vehicle accident in Daviess County, five miles northwest of Winston on Interstate 35. Injuries to 23-year old Joshua Irvin were described as SERIOUS, and he was taken by ambulance to Liberty Hospital.

Two people were hurt when a car slid off a Worth County road and overturned. The driver, 19-year old Grace Wilson of Denver, Missouri was taken to Northwest Regional Medical Center in Albany with what the Highway Patrol called MODERATE injuries.

The Missouri Public Service Commission has approved a request from KCP&L to increase the fuel adjustment charge for its electric customers in northern Missouri. For a typical residential customer, monthly electric bills will increase by about 65 cents effective on March 1st.

A Stanberry man was killed and an Albany resident was hurt when a car went out of control on snow covered Highway 136 and was hit by two other cars west of Albany on Friday morning.

A Brookfield resident was injured when the car she was driving traveled off Highway 36, hit two traffic signs and overturned, coming to rest on its wheels.
