Road Work : I-35 work begins between Winston and Pattonsburg

Multi-week road projects were scheduled to begin on Wednesday across the area. That includes Interstate 35 in Daviess County, between Winston and Pattonsburg. MoDOT said crews will be cutting large holes in the concrete and pouring new concrete in those areas.

News : Warren named Grundy County Special Prosecutor

Livingston County Prosecutor Adam Warren, who also is the Chillicothe City Prosecutor, has been given added duties as Grundy County Special Prosecutor. Circuit Judge Jack Peace has appointed the 33-year old Warren to serve as Grundy County's Special Prosecutor until Governor Nixon appoints someone to fill the position.

Trial is underway in St. Joseph for a Bethany man accused of First Degree Murder, Second Degree Arson, and Abuse of a Child, after his seven year-old son, Jeremiah Lamm, was found dead in a fire at his residence in January 2012.

News : Chillicothe authorizes purchase of new fire rescue unit

The Chillicothe City Council has authorized the purchase of a new rescue unit for the fire department. Fire Chief Darrell Wright says cash reserves are to be used to pay for the $365,000 vehicle.

Road Work : Plans announced to replace Route V bridge near Chiillcothe

Construction to replace the railroad bridge on Livingston County Route V in Chillicothe will begin in mid-May. The contracted completion date is November 1st. However, the Missouri Department of Transportation says the project could be completed earlier, weather permitting.

The city of Milan has issued a precautionary boil advisory for drinking and cooking water. The boil order is for the ENTIRE CITY of Milan, until Friday afternoon at 1:45. It was attributed to a broken main that feeds the water tower in Milan.
