KTTN/KGOZ News : Forty-four people begin "Highway Patrol training"

Colonel Ron Replogle, superintendent of the Missouri State Highway Patrol, announces that 44 people reported to the Missouri State Highway Patrol Law Enforcement Academy on January 16th, to begin the 25-week training course to become a trooper. The 96th Recruit Class is scheduled to graduate on July 12, 2013.

Three Trenton High School wrestlers finished second in the Class 1 state tournament that concluded Saturday night at Mizzou Arena in Columbia. Carlos Gonzalez lost 6-5 in the 113 pound championship match to Jake Gipson of Plattsburg. Gonzalez finished his senior year with a 39-2 record.

Missouri Farmers Care leaders said today that they applaud the Circuit Court of Scotland County for ruling in favor of farmer Gavin Hauk. Mr. Hauk had been denied a permit to place a new 4,960-head hog facility by the county commission on the basis of their County Health Ordinance.

Automobile Accidents : Saturday morning accident injures Chillicothe teen

A Chillicothe teenager was hurt when the car she was driving skidded off a gravel road, hit a ditch, and overturned southwest of Chula. Sixteen year old Hannah Leamer of Chillicothe refused immediate medical attention for what the Highway Patrol called minor injuries.

Automobile Accidents : Pickup truck crash injures Cameron man

A Cameron resident was hurt when the pickup truck he was driving overturned off a road near Cameron. Twenty-three year old Ian Jezak was taken to Cameron Regional Medical Center, then flown by medical helicopter to St. Luke's Hospital in Kansas City. The Highway Patrol described his injuries as SERIOUS.

Automobile Accidents : Accident north of Bucklin injures Slater woman

The Highway Patrol reports that one person was injured when two vehicles collided on a hillcrest seven miles north of Bucklin in eastern Linn County. The accident happened on Maury Road at mid-afternoon on Thursday.

A Chillicothe man, who has spent the past 18 years in custody (either prison or jail), could be released on bond this (Friday) afternoon. The Clinton County Circuit Clerk's office says Judge Owens Lee Hull has set bond for Mark Woodworth at $50,000 cash or surety.
