KTTN/KGOZ News : ATV accident injures Unionville man

A man from Unionville was injured late Wednesday morning when an all-terrain vehicle he was operating overturned north of Unionville. Forty-one year old Derrek Gilworth was flown by medical helicopter to University Hospital in Columbia, with injuries described as SERIOUS by the Highway Patrol.

Conditions were sunny, warm and windy when the Five Points flagpole dedication was held late Monday morning in downtown Trenton. Toward the end of the thirty minute ceremony was the raising of a large U-S flag to the top of the pole.

Two all-terrain vehicles collided on Sunday afternoon eight miles west of Princeton, injuring three people. The Highway Patrol described injuries as SERIOUS for 22 year old Lacey Edwards of Hamilton, who was flown by medical helicopter to North Kansas City Hospital. She was a passenger on an ATV driven by 22 year old John Whitsell of Clarksdale.

KTTN/KGOZ News : Trenton Rotary Club begins accepting Missouri Day Festival parade entries

Although it is still five months away, the Trenton Rotary Club is announcing that they are accepting entries for the annual Missouri Day Festival parade. The National Wild Turkey Federation sponsors its annual JAKES Day events starting at 1 o'clock Saturday afternoon. Activities are designed for boys and girls age 5 to 15. The fund raising goal is 30 thousand dollars for Saturday's Relay for Life events in Grundy County. It is the annual benefit for the American Cancer Society. Eleven (11) teams will be setting up outdoors on the Trenton High and Middle School campus. The theme this year is a “Rainbow of Hope.” The 12 hour event begins at 12 noon on Saturday.
