The Orrick Bearcats will come rolling into Princeton on Saturday with a lot going for them. Orrick has won 28 games in a row, the most currently in the state, and won the Class 1 state title a year ago. However, they did receive some bad news this week when it was learned that top running back Aaron Blyth will be out for the game this weekend with an ankle injury.

The 32nd edition of the Gallatin Invitational Basketball Tournament will be played during the first week of December in the Gallatin High School gymnasium.

Kansas City outfielder Mark Teahen has had his name linked this week to a potential trade with the Chicago Cubs. The Kansas City Star reported that the Cubs are targeting Teahen as a possible solution in their off-season search for a reasonably priced left-handed hitting outfielder.

The Kansas City Royals today announced that the team has acquired center fielder Coco Crisp from the Boston Red Sox in exchange for right-handed pitcher Ramon Ramirez.

Broad area temperature and precipitation probabilities issued by the Climate Prediction Center are shown below. These outlooks comprise the probability shift away from the climatological average for large areas, and are not necessarily valid for any given point, nor are a definitive predictor for the actual temperature that will be experienced in the upcoming winter season (defined as December-January-February).
