Persons looking for jobs are being advised of a job fair Thursday, July 14th at the Trenton Job Center which is 11-04 Main Street – the location of the offices of the Green Hills Regional Planning Commission.
Smithfield Farms will be holding informational sessions with candidates who have first contacted the job center to schedule their time; and who should have had an application completed prior to being interviewed.
The phone number to call to arrange for a session during the July 14th job fair is 359 5636, extension 15. Speak with Cheryl Fredricks, a workforce development specialist. Smithfield sessions are described as approximately 20 minutes.
The company reports it has openings for full time and part time help within 25 miles of Trenton.
The job center also reports a representative from Manpower is to be at the 11-04 Main location, also on July 14th, but from 2:30 to 4:30 that afternoon. Manpower has been advertising for food production workers.
