Two Jamesport residents were injured yesterday afternoon in a rural Livingston County accident involving a truck as well as a farm tractor towing a grain wagon.

The highway patrol said the truck driver, 54-year-old Danny Souders of Jamesport received moderate injuries and was taken by ambulance to Hedrick Medical Center in Chillicothe. His passenger, 25-year-old John Yoder of Jamesport, received what the patrol called minor injuries. He was treated by ambulance personnel at the scene and released. The farm tractor was operated by 32-year-old Colin Woodworth of Chillicothe who wasn’t hurt.

The highway patrol said the accident occurred with the tractor eastbound on LIV Road 528, traveled through an uncontrolled four-way intersection when the truck, northbound on LIV Road 519 crested a hill and entered the intersection.

A collision occurred six miles to the northwest of Chillicothe resulting in the truck being demolished and the tractor receiving extensive damage in the 3:35 crash Monday.

None of the occupants was using a safety device.
