A Jamesport man was injured last evening in an accident six miles north of Cameron.

The highway patrol reports 32-year-old Bradley Russell received minor injuries and was taken to Cameron Regional Medical Center.

Russell was northbound on Interstate 35 when the front driver’s side tire of a sports utility vehicle blew out, causing him to lose control. His vehicle then separated from its towed unit and traveled into the median. The SUV crossed southbound I-35 coming to a stop upright on the west side of the southbound lanes. The towed unit came to a stop upright partially blocking the passing lane of southbound I-35.

Damage was listed as moderate for the SUV in the 6 o’clock Monday night accident.

The report indicates it’s unknown whether Russell was using a safety device.
