Jamesport Fire and Rescue holds its 10th annual community appreciation supper and auction Friday evening September 30 at the city park.

Serving of supper begins at 5:30 with the fire department to provide meat, drinks, and table service. Those attending are asked to take a covered dish.

The meal is to include what’s described as the fire department’s famous barbecue, with free will donations accepted for the meal.

The auction is set to begin at 7 o’clock with several area businesses donating items with proceeds to be used to support Jamesport Fire and Rescue.

A Lifeflight medical helicopter is to land at 5:30 at the Jamesport ballfield located in the city park providing the weather conditions allow and the helicopter is not needed at the time.

The public can meet the helicopter personnel and view the aircraft.
