The Missouri State Highway Patrol plans a driving while intoxicated checkpoint in Clinton County this month (August), and a DWI saturation in DeKalb County next month (September).

The selected areas are based on a high number of drinking related accidents, a high number of contacts with drivers who have been drinking, and officer input as to probably contract with DWI violators.

The specific locations and dates were not announced.
