Grundy County residents may now vote absentee in the August 8 election.
The Grundy County Nursing Home District’s measure to increase its tax levy by 15 cents to 30 cents on the $100 assessed valuation is on the ballot.
Voters can vote absentee at the Grundy County Clerk’s Office in the courthouse during regular business hours from 8:30 in the morning to 4:30 in the afternoon.
The last day to register to vote for the August election is July 12. The last day for the Grundy County Clerk’s Office to mail out ballots is August 2.
The Grundy County Courthouse will be closed Tuesday, July 4 in observance of Independence Day.
