The Grundy County Nursing Home District Board of Directors voted to increase wages for employees at its latest meeting after discussion on the 2017 Missouri minimum wage increase.
Employees’ wages will be increased by five cents and the board voted to accept the resignation of Director Carol Seidel.
A plaque will be presented to her recognizing her for her 12 years of dedicated service.
The board discussed the tax levy committee’s work to increase information on the April 4th ballot measure.
The measure would increase the current tax levy from 15 cents to 30 cents on the $100 assessed valuation.
A Facebook page called “Grundy County Nursing Home Question” was created to provide information.
The board also heard reports on the foundation’s Valentine’s Day fundraiser of selling “cups of joy” and the Valentine’s Day King and Queen contest.
