Grundy County hires new deputy sheriff

Grundy County now has a new deputy sheriff. Christian Goode, is a native of Oklahoma and has prior experience since 2012 as a police officer in Roland, Oklahoma.

Goode was sworn in this morning by Circuit Court Judge Jack Peace.

Goode is married to the former Alaina Tolle of Trenton.

With the hiring, Grundy County Sheriff Rodney Herring reports his department is back to full staff with three deputies.

There had been a vacancy since former deputy Mitch Alley left at the end of last year.
