The Green Hills Regional Planning Commission in Trenton will hold its quarterly meeting Thursday.

Executive Director Randy Railsback explains that the commission is in the same fiscal year as the state, and it needs to approve a budget for the upcoming year.

He says the Solid Waste District Board will meet at 10 o’clock Thursday morning, and Solid Waste Council will meet at 11:15.

Then the Regional Planning Commission will meet and other than a budget, Railsback says the commission will approve contracts.

A Transportation Advisory Committee meeting will be after the commission’s meeting.

Railsback explains that the commission tries to utilize all of its board members in one day because some travel an hour and a half and several board members are on more than one board.

Railsback notes that the board structure is set up for a presiding commissioner from each of the 11 counties, one town from the counties, and one citizen at large.
