Green City woman injured after striking deer on Highway 6

A Green City woman was injured last evening when, the highway patrol reported, her sports utility vehicle struck a deer on Highway 6 in eastern Sullivan County.

The patrol listed injuries as minor for 65 year old Susan Hammons of Green City. She was taken to Northeast Regional Medical Center in Kirksville.

The accident was seven miles west of Novinger at 8:10 pm.

The westbound vehicle was demolished. The driver was wearing a seat belt.
