Governor orders flags at half-staff to honor Firefighter Edward Cosgrove

Governor Jay Nixon has ordered that the flags of the United States and the State of Missouri at all state government buildings in Livingston County be flown at half-staff on Thursday, July 28, 2016.

The lowering of flags is in honor of Firefighter Edward A. Cosgrove Jr., of the Green Township Fire Protection District.  Firefighter Cosgrove, age 53, died on July 24 while serving the citizens of the Green Township Fire Protection District.

Under Governor Nixon’s order, U.S. and Missouri flags at state buildings in Livingston County will fly at half-staff from sunrise until sunset on July 28, 2016, the day the funeral services for Firefighter Cosgrove will take place.
