The Highway Patrol reports a Gallatin woman sustained moderate injuries when a minivan hit her car three miles east of Gallatin Friday night.
Seventy-two-year-old Julia Ramsbottom traveled east on Missouri 6 when she reportedly attempted to make a left turn onto northbound Missouri 13 in front of the minivan driven by 27-year-old Ashley Hale of Gilman City. Ramsbottom’s car came to rest on its wheels in the southbound lane of Missouri 13 facing west. Hale’s vehicle came to rest on its wheels in the eastbound lane of Missouri 6 facing southwest.
EMS transported Ramsbottom to Cameron Regional Medical Center. The Patrol reports Hale did not receive any injuries and wore her seatbelt at the time of the accident, while Ramsbottom did not.
The Daviess County Sheriff’s Department assisted at the scene.
