A North Central Missouri College student from Gallatin was recently elected to serve as the 2017-2018 Phi Beta Lambda Secretary for Missouri.

Aubrey Nelson began the application process for this position in January by submitting letters of recommendation and essays to the state level of Phi Beta Lambda, the collegiate step forward from high school Future Business Leaders of America.

After approval, Nelson campaigned and was selected by chapter elections.

She will serve a one-year term and represent Missouri Phi Beta Lambda to business leaders, education officials, community partners, and state memberships.

Nelson began her Phi Beta Lambda career in 2015.

She competed in the National Level for NCMC placing ninth in Business Presentation and seventh in Business Decision Making.

Nelson will receive her Associate of Science degree in Business next month and plans to pursue her Bachelor’s degree in Political Science from Northwest Missouri State University and a law degree in Missouri.
