Freedom of Road Riders “Spring Fling” set to kickoff June 10th

Plans are set for the what organizers call the “30th annual spring fling” sponsored by the Freedom of Road Riders Local 8 at Chillicothe.

Activities take place June 10th and 11th at Roach Lake, located five miles south of Chillicothe – off U-S Highway 65. Gates open at 12 noon Friday June 10th.

Weekend admission is 15 dollars. The admission rate drops to 10 dollars after 7 o’clock that Saturday night.

Main stage events include Friday night music by Wasteland beginning at 9 pm; Saturday’s music includes performances starting at 5 o’clock by Bluz Benderz and then at 10 o’clock by Outlaw Jim and the Whiskey Benders. Other events planned for Saturday June 10th include a poker run, sign in begins at 10 am; field events with sign in starting at 12 noon; and the bike show with sign in at 5 o’clock and judging at 6.

Overnight camping is to be available at Roach Lake. There also will be vendors on the premises.

Organizers say no one under 21 will be admitted. Persons attending are to have valid photo ID at all times.
