A free genealogy workshop will be held Monday, July 11th, at the Grundy County Jewett Norris Library in Trenton.

Participants at the workshop can find out if there is a Revolutionary Patriot in their family tree. They also can learn how to become a member of the Daughters of the American Revolution organization. Genealogists will be on hand to help.

Dorcas Richardson Chapter of the National Society of the Daughters of the American Revolution was founded in 1912.

The organization is hosting the genealogy workshop from 3 pm until 6 p-m on Monday, July 11th.  For more information, contactBarb Spencer at 660-359-7597 or [email protected].

Any woman 18 years or older, regardless of race, religion or ethnic background, who can prove lineal descent from a Patriot of the American Revolution is eligible for membership.
