Four waive preliminary hearings in Grundy County Circuit Court

Four defendants waived preliminary hearings on unrelated charges when they appeared Tuesday in the Associate Division of Grundy County Circuit Court.

Each is next scheduled for arraignments in Division One of Circuit Court on April 13th.

Among those waiving a hearing was 37-year-old Lucas Allen Griffin of Trenton who faces three felony counts: violation of a protection order for an adult; third-degree assault; and resisting or interfering with an arrest for a felony. Griffin’s bond continues at $15,000 cash.

Also waiving a hearing was 49-year-old Missy Lynn Obey of Browning, charged with felony stealing of money from her employer Casey’s in Trenton. Her bond has been reduced to $3,500 cash.

A resident of Brookline Station in southern Missouri, 40-year-old Steven Clark, waived his hearing on charges of nonsupport of a minor. His bond continues at $5,000 cash.

59-year-old Vickie Lynn Russell of Mercer, charged with felony passing a bad check, waived her court hearing. Her bond was reduced to $600 cash.

Among other associate division cases Tuesday, a plea agreement was accepted by the court involving 20-year-old David Michael McGary of Maryville. He pleaded guilty to a charge of marijuana possession and imposition of sentence was suspended.

McGary was placed on two years probation. Another charge was amended by the state to having defective equipment. McGary pleaded guilty and was fined $200.
