Firefighters respond to car fire north of Trenton

Fire Wednesday morning August 3, caused extensive damage to a car being driven north of Trenton in the area of Highway 65 and Route A.

No injuries were reported involving the incident, however, the cause of the fire was undetermined.

The name of the driver was not available.

The driver apparently saw a puff of smoke coming from the engine compartment and pulled over on Route A, noting the engine compartment was on fire.

The Grundy County Rural Fire Department responded to the scene, with firefighters on-site for approximately thirty minutes.
