Fire destroyed the David Southwick residence in Laredo late Saturday night.
No one was reported home at the time and there were no injuries.
The structure was engulfed in flames when Laredo Fire Protection District firefighters arrived at the scene in southeastern Laredo and remained for approximately four hours.
Fire Chief Kenny Meeker reports some shop tools on the back porch were saved, but no other structures were threatened.
