While a Trenton youth remains missing, the highway patrol overnight reports an endangered person advisory has been issued for Tanner Ward.

The information is being disseminated statewide through the Missouri Department of Public Safety.

The notice said the missing person incident began about 5 pm last Wednesday when he reportedly departed his mother’s residence at 1216 East 12th Street in Trenton. He left on foot in an unknown direction of travel, advising that he would be back shortly, but did not return. The notice indicates Ward has ties to the Kansas City area.

Police Chief Tommy Wright told the Trenton City Council last night that the family reported Ward as missing, last Friday night. He added several interviews have been conducted by police but the whereabouts of Ward remains unknown.

Ward is 19 years old; six foot two inches tall; about 165 pounds; brown hair; brown eyes. He was last seen wearing a gray t-shirt, dark blue form fitting jeans, and black Vans tennis shoes.  His description also includes a tattoo of a sailboat on his right palm.

Anyone with information about the disappearance, or whereabouts, is asked to contact the Trenton Police Department at its non-emergency number 359-5557 or call 911 for the nearest law enforcement agency.
