In addition to the Chamber of Commerce office in Trenton, several other locations will be accepting donations for the community fireworks display the night of July 4th in Trenton.

Approximately $4,000 needs to be raised in order to have the fireworks display. Money is needed to pay for a pyrotech and for the fireworks.

A committee is helping to collect donations. Members include Debbie Carman, Diane Lowrey, Ralph Boots, Rosetta Marsh, and Savannah Summers.

Donations for the fireworks are being accepted at collection canisters being placed at several locations in Trenton. Among them are Casey’s General  Store on 28th Street; TNT Convenience Store also on 28th  Street, Trenton Main Stop; Hy-Vee Wine and Spirits, Landes B-P,  Chumbley’s and the state license bureau.

Still other locations receiving donations to buy fireworks include Farmers Bank of Northern Missouri, Citizens Bank and Trust, and the Farmer’s State Bank.

Donations can be made by the public, organizations, and businesses.

Checks with “fireworks” in the memo line are to be delivered or mailed to the Trenton Chamber of Commerce at 617 Main Street in Trenton.

Checks presented to the chamber are tax deductible.
