Daugherty discusses LifeFlight’s move from Trenton to Chillicothe

Plans are moving forward for LifeFlight Eagle Medical Helicopter Transport to move its base from Trenton to Chillicothe.  Matt Daugherty, LifeFlight Eagle Director of Business Development, was interviewed on Tuesday afternoon at the KTTN/KGOZ studios in downtown Trenton:

LifeFlight will continue to operate its base from the Trenton Airport on a month-to-month basis, until sometime this autumn.  John Anthony continues the interview with the LifeFlight Eagle representative:

When making the initial announcement of their intentions to move the base, concerns were cited with flooding and low-lying fog at the Trenton Airport.  Daugherty said Trenton officials explored several options to prevent future flooding at the airport, and did offer some alternative sites:

LifeFlight Eagle, in signing a letter of intent with the City of Chillicothe, will now be finalizing a lease agreement before ground is broken on a new hangar and crew headquarters at the airport, two miles east of Chillicothe.  Daugherty spoke highly of the company’s dealings with Trenton:
