The University of Missouri Extension will hold classes next month on rules and procedures elected officials and public board members should know.

Faculty will present information on Missouri’s open meetings laws, fiscal responsibilities, and board procedures in several locations in northern Missouri the nights of November 9th and 16th from 6 to 9 o’clock.

Those locations include the Putnam County High School in Unionville, North Central Missouri College Geyer Hall Room 208 in Trenton, and the Brookfield Area Career Center.

The classes will be linked together via Skype to encourage peers to share their experiences during question and answer periods.  Extension will also provide further resource materials and connections for ongoing support.

Registration costs $55 per person, which includes both sessions, two light meals, and materials and is due by November 6.

Contact the Putnam County Extension Office at 660-947-2705 for more information.
