A 26-year old Chillicothe resident, Zane Homan, has been charged with second-degree assault in Grundy County, accused of causing serious injury to Issac Wattenbarger by hitting him on May 29th, resulting in a large gash to the back of Wattenbarger’s head.  Seven staples, according to the charge, were needed to close the gash.

Homan is being held at the Grundy County Detention Center on $10,000 bond.  He will appear on Tuesday in the Associate Division of Grundy County Circuit Court.

In other court news, a 33-year old Trenton man, Brian St. Onge, has been charged in Grundy County with endangering the welfare of a child less than 17, by failing to provide a safe environment for the child, on Wednesday, June 8th.

St. Onge was also accused of misdemeanor third-degree assault on Wednesday, stemming from an incident involving physical contact with Megan Corey, knowing “it would be regarded as offensive”.  St. Onge is being held in the Grundy County Detention Center on $5,000 cash only bond.  He will appear on Tuesday in the Associate Division of Grundy County Circuit Court.
