Chillicothe teen hurt in Saturday morning crash

A Chillicothe teen was hurt late Saturday morning when the pickup truck he was driving went off a road, hit a ditch and overturned west of Chillicothe.

16-year-old Paul Chapman of Chillicothe was transported by private vehicle to Hedrick Medical Center with minor injuries.

The accident happened one mile west of Chillicothe on Livingston County 235 as Chapman was westbound on Business Highway 36, then turned north onto LIV 235 losing control of the vehicle. The investigating officer reports the pickup began to skid, went off the left side of the road, hit a ditch, and overturned, coming to rest on its top.

Damage to the pickup was listed as moderate and Chapman was wearing a seatbelt.
