Chillicothe Police Department highlights this week’s calls

The Chillicothe Police Department has released highlights of their calls so far this week.  They range from property damage to a child in the roadway.

Officers took a report of property damage in the 600 block of Webster St. The investigation is on-going.

Officers were dispatched to a domestic disturbance in the 200 block of E. Bridge St. The incident was determined to be verbal in nature.

A two-vehicle non-injury traffic accident happened in the 200 block of N. Washington Street. A vehicle driven by Dionis F. Peterie failed to yield the right-of-way while exiting a private parking lot and collided with a vehicle driven by Lois N. Gillespie. Moderate damage was reported.

A two-vehicle non-injury traffic accident on the U.S. Hwy. 65 and U.S. Hwy. 36 overpass happened when a vehicle driven by Sarah M. Washam collided with a vehicle driven by Cole B. Wolf   Wolf failed to yield the right-of-way. Washam’s vehicle caught fire after everyone had exited the vehicle. It was extinguished by the Chillicothe Department of Emergency Services. Washam’s vehicle was towed from the scene by Peery Towing. Wolf was issued a citation for failure to yield the right-of-way involving a motor vehicle crash.

Officers received a report of a small child in the roadway on Fair St. at Dorney Drive.   Officers located the child in a yard and were able to contact the parents. The incident has been referred to the Livingston County Children’s Division.

Officers took a report of fraud in the 600 block of Walnut St. The investigation is on-going.

Officers took a report of property damage in the 200 block of Gale St.

Officers took a report of a possible violation of a full order of protection in the 1100 block of Webster St. The investigation is on-going.
