The Chillicothe Fire Department, after 10 o’clock last night, was sent to the intersection of Calhoun and Locust Street to investigate an odor, however, no cause was found.

A report this morning from Fire Chief Darrell Wright says personnel detected an odor of burning plastic but were unable to locate the source.

He said the area of Chillicothe was thoroughly investigated with use of thermal imaging, gas monitoring, and flashlights.  After 25 minutes of investigation, personnel noted that the odor began to dissipate.
