The Chillicothe Farmers Market opens its 30th season this coming Saturday, May 7th at 8 o’clock at the courthouse square, rain or shine.

The market, last year, averaged ten producers per Saturday, with a total of twenty eight for the season according to market master Beth Weidner.

The market involves growers and craft persons from Livingston and surrounding counties.

The Chillicothe farmers market again this year will be hosting market basket giveaways every last Saturday of the month. The seventh annual pressure canner testing day is June 4th.

Since the summer of 1986, the Chillicothe Farmers Market traditionally has operated the first Saturday in May through the last Saturday in October.
