The Chillicothe Area Chamber of Commerce recently brought home a statewide award from a conference held at the Hilton at Branson Landing in Branson.

Crystal Narr, Executive Director of the Chillicothe Chamber, attended the CCEM – Chamber of Commerce Executives of Missouri conference where representatives from over 100 chambers gather annually.  During the awards luncheon, numerous statewide Chamber awards were given with the Chillicothe Chamber taking top honors in one of only five categories awarded.

The Award of Excellence was in the Advertising Material category which they received for the marketing efforts of their Chamber Travel program. “The Chamber Travel program has been in existence for nearly ten years due to the forethought of Betty Preston-Steele. It is an amazing opportunity that we are able to provide the Chillicothe community while also serving as a vital source of income for our non-profit.,” stated Narr. “We have had to learn to market each trip in a different way because they all offer something incredibly different. For instance, our 2016 trips took travelers to Peru & Galapagos Islands as well as Ireland. We strive to market our trips to both seasoned and new travelers.”
