With April noted as sexual violence awareness month, it’s reported that the Green Hills Women’s Shelter has a working relationship with the Trenton Police Department.

To that extent, Police Chief Tommy Wright created the Chief’s Tea and Brunch as a fundraiser to benefit the women’s shelter in Trenton.

He talks in general about domestic and sexual violence; and efforts to increase public awareness of the issue.

The Green Hills Women’s Shelter and Trenton Police Department work collaboratively on a frequent basis. The shelter provides a temporary home, counseling, or other assistance to victims of domestic violence.

We have comments from Trenton Police Chief Tommy Wright, followed by comments from Women’s Shelter Advocate Jenna Johnson.

The Chief’s Tea and Brunch, featuring two guest speakers, begins at 9 o’clock Friday morning April 7 at the First Christian Church in Trenton.

The event is not only a domestic and sexual violence awareness event but is a fundraiser for the Green Hills Women’s Shelter at Trenton.
