Carrollton teen hurt in Saturday accident

A Carrollton teen was hurt Saturday evening west of Tina when the car she was driving went through a Highway 65 intersection and off the road.

17-year-old Brittany Stanley of Carrollton was taken by private vehicle to Carroll County Memorial Hospital at Carrollton with minor injuries.

The accident happened at the intersection of route Double W and Highway 65 when the westbound car went through the intersection, hit a highway sign, became airborne, and hit an embankment and an electric fence.

The car was demolished.

Ms. Stanley was not wearing a seat belt.
