A truck driver from Carrollton, 43 year old Gary Sims, was taken by ambulance to Cameron Regional Medical Center shortly after 1 o’clock Tuesday morning, May 31st.

The highway patrol reports Sims was northbound on Interstate 35 when his semi tractor-trailer traveled off the west side of the highway; the driver over-corrected, causing the big rig to overturn onto the drivers side, coming to rest partially in the median and on the Interstate.

The tractor trailer was listed as demolished. Sims was wearing a seat belt.

The highway patrol received assistance from Daviess county sheriff’s department and the KAW fire department.
