Community Action Partnership of North Central Missouri today announced it has run out of funds for the Summer energy assistance initiative known as LIHEAP, low-income home energy assistance program.

The agency reports it will not have any additional funding until the winter energy assistance program begins in November.

The separate Summer and Winter programs provide assistance for eligible individuals and families who struggle to pay their utility bills.

Once paperwork begins available at the agency headquarters in Trenton later in the year, households with a disabled resident or someone 60 years of age or older, can fill out an application for the winter energy assistance program.
