The Highway Patrol reports a Cainsville woman was killed when the pickup she was driving drove into the path of a tractor-trailer.
The victim, identified as 34-year-old Chrystal Everett of Cainsville, was pronounced dead at the scene two miles north of Mount Moriah early Wednesday afternoon.
The accident investigation determined she was not wearing a seat belt.
Ms. Everett was driving southbound on Route B when the pickup went off the west side, she over-corrected and drove into the northbound lane where the impact occurred with the oncoming big rig. Both vehicles were demolished.
The report listed the truck driver as 25-year-old Jacobus Ban-Deventer of Gilman City who wasn’t injured.
Chrystal Everett is the third traffic fatality in Harrison County in accidents investigated by the state highway patrol.
