Audio: Buzzard Run 2016 Set to Roll Saturday July 9th

A poker run and party are among events for the Buzzard Run scheduled Saturday, July 9th.

The activity organized by members of Larry Buzzard family at Trenton with proceeds benefiting the special education program of the Trenton R-9 school district.

 


Those with motorcycles who plan to participate in the poker run register starting at 11 that Saturday at Black Silo Winery. Cost is 20 dollars for a single rider or 30 dollars for a couple.

The run begins from Chumbleys at 1 o’clock with a police escort to the city limits. The route has stops in Chula, Chillicothe, Hamilton, Jamesport, and Black Silo at Trenton by 5:30.

Participants then draw cards. The best poker hand wins one thousand dollars.

The worst poker hand wins 500 dollars. Other events at Black Silo July 9th include a bean bag toss tournament at 3 pm; barbecue meal at 6:30; music led by DJ Kevin Klinginsmith from 9 pm to 1 am. T-shirts and tanks are for sale.

There’s also a 50-50 raffle plus many other prizes throughout the night.
