A Browning resident, Derrek Hardy, is among nine persons receiving a 2017 Missouri Dairy Scholars scholarship in the amount of $5,000.
The announcement was made by the Missouri Agricultural and Small Business Development Authority and the Missouri Department of Agriculture.
The scholarship recipients are required to complete a dairy-related internship and commit to working in the Ag industry in Missouri for at least two years after graduation.
