The highway patrol reports the driver was injured when a pickup truck hit a cow on a Caldwell County road early this morning at around 1:20 am.
26-year-old Lucas Morrill of Braymer was taken by ambulance to the Hedrick Medical Center in Chillicothe with moderate injuries.
The patrol reports Morrill had been southbound on Route A, approximately two miles north of Braymer, when the animal was struck.
Damage was minor for the pickup and the patrol reports Morrill was using a seat belt.
