Bethany man injured in truck accident, accused of DWI

A Bethany resident was injured wen the pickup truck he was driving traveled off Highway 69 north of Bethany, hit a fence, and overturned onto its top.  Forty-six year old Isaac Martinez was taken to Harrison County Community Hospital in Bethany, with what the Highway Patrol called moderate injuries.

The accident was Saturday afternoon five miles north of Bethany.  The pickup was southbound on U.S. Highway 69 when it went off the west side of the road, demolishing the truck.

The Patrol has accused Martinez of felony driving while intoxicated (DWI), careless and imprudent driving involving an accident, failure to register a motor vehicle, and failure to wear a seat belt.
