A Bethany man was injured late last night when a vehicle went off Beekman Street in Bethany and its right front struck a concrete pad.
The highway patrol listed injuries as minor for 35-year-old John Jackson who was taken by private vehicle to Harrison County Community Hospital.
Jackson was listed as a passenger in a vehicle driven by 27-year-old Shara Berry of Bethany who wasn’t hurt.
The accident report shows the vehicle southbound on 14th Street when it allegedly failed to halt for a stop sign. It turned west onto Beekman Street at what the patrol called a high rate of speed. The driver then lost control as the vehicle crossed the center of the street and went off the south side.
Damage was moderate for the vehicle, a 2003 Dodge and the report noted Jackson was using a seat belt while Ms. Berry was not.
